Funeral Mass Preparation

The Catholic Funeral Mass is a profound and beautiful rite that reflects the Church’s deep belief in the resurrection and eternal life. As the Mass is celebrated, it serves not only as a farewell but also as a hopeful proclamation of the deceased's new life in Christ. One of the most touching elements is the Church’s role in accompanying the faithful, as the Catechism explains: "The Church, as a mother, accompanies the Christian at their journey’s end to surrender them into the Father's hands" (CCC 1683).

The Mass itself is an act of worship and thanksgiving, filled with prayers for the soul of the departed, asking for God's mercy and eternal rest. It reminds the grieving community of Christ's promise: “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, will live” (John 11:25)

Arranging a funeral is a deeply personal process, and we are here to walk with you every step of the way. To begin, we invite you to meet with one of our priests, who will guide you through the arrangements with care and compassion, ensuring that your loved one is honoured with a beautiful and meaningful service.
