Reconciliation

  • The Catechism of the Catholic Church beautifully reminds us that “individual, integral confession and absolution remain the only ordinary way for the faithful to reconcile themselves with God and the Church, unless physical or moral impossibility excuses from this kind of confession.” (CCC 1484) This is because the sacrament of Confession is a profound encounter with Christ Himself, who works personally in each of the sacraments.

Through Confession, Christ addresses each of us intimately, saying, “My son, your sins are forgiven.” He acts as the Divine Physician, lovingly healing those who come to Him in need. In the sacrament, He lifts us up, restores us, and welcomes us back into the loving communion of the Church. Personal confession is the most beautiful and expressive way of experiencing reconciliation with God and His Church, offering the grace and healing we seek.

If it has been a while since your last confession, don’t worry—the priest will welcome you back with joy and understanding.

Our priests dedicate themselves to making this sacrament readily available to all. Confessions are heard at the following times:

Monday* to Thursday:  11:30 am - 12:00 pm
(*except 4th Monday of the month)
    Friday:  10:30 am - 11:30 am
    Saturday:  3:45 pm - 4:45 pm

Please note that Confession times may occasionally vary. We encourage you to check the bulletin for the most up-to-date information.

"In the life of the body a man is sometimes sick, and unless he takes medicine, he will die. Even so in the spiritual life a man is sick on account of sin. For that reason he needs medicine so that he may be restored to health; and this grace is bestowed in the Sacrament of Penance."
